Baptism is an outward sign of an inward heart change. The Bible teaches us that anyone who has become a Christian should follow that decision with a public declaration of his or her faith in Jesus. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
